Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: Required certifications Must-Have: - Plasma Exchange and Red Blood Cell Exchange experience - Previous Charge Experience preferred - Ability to cannulate AV fistula - Ability to cannulate AV graft - Acute Care Inpatient Dialysis experience - Apheresis treatment experience - Blood prime and blood return experience - Chronic Outpatient Dialysis experience - Infection control knowledge - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Post Apheresis treatment experience - Red blood cell exchange experience - Therapeutic Plasma Exchange/Plasmapheresis experience - Experience with tunneled and non-tunneled catheters Description: This position requires experience with apheresis equipment or dialysis. The registered nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care. The nurse will work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient diagnoses. Special procedures include photopheresis, and involvement in GVHD, BO, and CTCL diagnoses is expected. Candidates must have the ability to float within the facility or to nearby hospitals if required. Travel experience is necessary for this position. Two supervisor references are required for submission. Floating is required of all travelers. Candidates must be willing to work two out of three major holidays. The daily census will inform clinical decision-making. The unit will provide interdisciplinary support from various services.
