Pharmacy TechnicianHelp Tulsa (James Mountain Inhofe VAMC) facility VA Careers - Pharmacy Total Rewards of a Allied Health ProfessionalApply pharmacy technician principles, practices, concepts, and theories to perform duties independently and exercise sound technical judgment.Manage the computerized prescription process, including entering prescriptions and medication orders or their electronic equivalents.Resolve pharmacy and medication-related issues in collaboration with healthcare team members, Veterans, and external customers.Train and mentor developmental pharmacy technicians and students to support competency development and safe pharmacy practices.Dispense medications and sterile products in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and accurate medication distribution.Troubleshoot automated dispensing equipment (ADE), pharmacy technology platforms, and databases to support efficient operations and resolve technical issues.Work Schedule: Full-time with variable shifts. Day shift: Sunday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Night shift: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., or Friday through Sunday, 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.Compressed/Flexible: AvailablePay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year).
