The position is demanding, varied, and complex. The substitute teacher must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This position requires flexibility to move into different assignments regularly as needed. Must be able to assist in the protection and safety of students and school property, assist the principal in fire and other emergency drills as required by law and School Committee policy. This position reports to the school Principal and works in close collaboration with the front office team. This role will follow the school calendar and work Monday through Friday (7:55am-2:45pm). Qualifications Bachelor's or higher degree preferred Teaching experience preferred Massachusetts DESE license preferred Position Type: Full-time Salary: $31,200 to $37,200 Per Year Job Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Interpersonal communication skills Kind, student-centered Organizational skills Ability to work well with people and students Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology Ability to effectively plan and implement Effective conflict resolution skills Frequent deadlines under pressure Multitasking amidst interruptions, changing priorities, and adjustable timelines At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
