Director, Global Supply Operations- Apellis

Biogen Inc

Director leading global commercial supply chain operations for a biotech organization. Manages third-party packaging, labeling, and logistics relationships while ensuring quality, compliance, and cost performance across supplier portfolios and distribution networks.

Responsibilities

Select, qualify, onboard, and manage external supply chain partners across packaging, labeling, and 3PL functions
Implement supplier relationship management practices including governance frameworks, KPIs, and business reviews
Lead third-party logistics relationships to ensure compliant storage, distribution, and inventory management
Develop launch preparation and lifecycle management plans with scalable supply chain infrastructure
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead contract negotiations with supply chain partners

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, or related field
12+ years supply chain experience with 6+ years in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proven leadership in direct team and cross-functional matrix environments
Supplier relationship management experience in cGMP environment
Serialization implementation and DSCSA regulatory knowledge
ERP systems experience in pharmaceutical settings, including SAP or Oracle

Compensation: $196,000-$270,000 base
