Compensation: $55–$61 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a busy outpatient practice serving a diverse patient population across the lifespan, including both adults and children.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in an advanced practice role and a clinical background in primary care, urgent care, and/or emergency medicine . Candidates should have experience caring for both adult and pediatric populations and be comfortable evaluating a broad range of acute, chronic, and medically complex conditions.

Relevant primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine experience gained previously as an RN or Medical Assistant may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

• Perform histories and physical examinations

• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Manage chronic conditions and provide preventive care

• Provide patient and family education

• Care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients

• Prescribe and manage medications

• Coordinate referrals and care with specialists and other healthcare providers

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records

• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the clinical team

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-volume setting

Qualifications

• Current, active Virginia NP or PA license

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an advanced practice role; 3+ years strongly preferred

• Clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, and/or emergency medicine

• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients required

• Experience working with a broad patient population and a variety of complex clinical needs

• Strong clinical assessment and independent decision-making skills

• Ability to manage a busy patient schedule efficiently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

• Patient-centered approach and excellent bedside manner

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a clinical team

• eClinicalWorks experience preferred but not required
