Outpatient Physical Therapist - Urgent Need

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring effective functional treatment programs for patients' return to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, and must demonstrate behaviors consistent with the organization’s core values.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care accurately, including goal writing and charge entry.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders compliant with insurance requirements.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment.
• Identify and pursue professional development opportunities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure as a Physical Therapist.

Schedule

This is a full-time position based on a 5x8.0 schedule with guaranteed hours.
