Team Leader

Central Network Retail Group, LLC (CNRG)

Summary The Team Leader has the responsibility for all store activities in the absence of salaried store management. The Team Leader must exemplify the company’s culture through the execution of the Mission and Values, demonstrate aggressive customer service, effectively lead all store associates, and be responsible for total store operations when salaried management is absent. The role requires expertise in company culture, merchandising, shrink control, and operational aspects of the store and a focus on career development toward senior management. The Team Leader must be knowledgeable of the local market, customer base, seasonality opportunities, competitors, and other specifics that may influence the business. This role is a model of leadership and problem solving, managing time to achieve budgeted store goals, and ensuring the store operates in accordance with CNRG’s guidelines. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Exemplify and ensure CNRG’s Mission and Values remain at the forefront of daily business, keeping all associates informed of store and company expectations and news. Ensure aggressive customer service is defined to associates and demonstrated as part of total store operations to exceed customer expectations. Supervise other associates as assigned. Maintain enthusiasm, commitment, and energy, motivating other associates to do the same. Provide appropriate solutions to customers’ questions. Keep up-to-date on all current programs, company procedures, and communicate them to all team players. Coordinate merchandise orders to keep up with sales trends and customer demand. Complete cycle counts in a timely manner and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Demonstrate leadership and adhere to CNRG’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Train all incoming new associates in product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service. Maintain the appearance of the sales floor and stock areas, including stocking product. Create merchandise displays to improve sales and ease of shopping. Work with other associates to complete tasks and achieve budgeted goals. Clean the store and exterior areas of the facility. Identify and correct safety problems or hazards. Complete price shops and price changes in a timely manner. Be certified in all areas of the store, including inside and outside forklifts, DOT, gate, receiving, and service desk. Perform other functions as assigned by supervisor. Successful Team Leaders Must demonstrate leadership and problem‑solving skills, manage with limited supervision, and possess good oral and written communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and associates. Must understand aggressive customer service and be team‑oriented, develop management and organizational skills, interpret data presented in statistical or numerical form to assess and coordinate the merchandise and operational aspects of the store, and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Must be physically able to climb ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., and handle large odd‑shaped items and stock items in overhead areas. Must work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
