Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $288,764 - $318,071, depending on experience, with additional productivity bonuses based on wRVUs and quality incentives.

• Financial Incentives: Includes a $30,000 Geographic Differential Stipend, a $35,000 Sign-On Bonus, and $25,000 for Relocation Assistance with a three-year commitment. Educational Loan Reimbursement Programs are available through IHS, NHSC, and PLSF.

Work Schedule and Life Balance

• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with telemedicine services included.

• On-Call Duties: Rotating 24-hour shifts during the week and weekends.

  • Future opportunities may allow for reduced on-call responsibilities with nocturnist coverage.

• Generous Time Off: 33 days (264 hours) of annual leave, including holidays, plus an additional 10 days (80 hours) for CME.

Practice Overview

• Clinic Facilities: Equipped with 8 exam rooms and 1 treatment room, with one medical assistant or registered nurse assigned to each physician, along with a primary care nurse case manager, nurse triage, and radiology technician. Ancillary services include Mammogram, X-ray, and on-site laboratory services.

• Patient Load: Manage 12-17 patients daily in the clinic, plus 4 hours of administrative time each week. EMR tools include Meditech, Dragon Dictation, and DAX AI-assisted documentation.

• Procedural Opportunities: Engage in routine primary care, skin/endometrial biopsies, joint injections, casting, IUD placements, Nexplanon, and suturing.

Additional Care Opportunities

• Potential rotation at the Klukwan Health Center, located 20 miles from Haines.

• Occasional long-term care and home visits may be required.

• Optional participation in rural outreach or consultative support is available.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active/unrestricted medical license in Alaska or the ability to obtain one.

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.

• Unrestricted DEA registration.

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.
