Procurement Specialist

Job Title: Procurement Specialist Position Type: Contract 12 months with possibility of extension Locations: Phoenix, AZ 85004 Work Model: Hybrid/Flex; potentially 1 day per week onsite during Procurement team office day. Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Job Description Procurement Specialist responsible for supporting the Deer Valley Procurement Operations team by managing invoice exceptions and providing surge support to meet operational procurement demands. Executes procurement activities across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process while partnering with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of purchasing and invoicing issues. Core Responsibilities Four-year bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or other job-related discipline from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years of experience in materials or services positions. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, six (6) years of significant, closely related materials/services/supply chain experience is required. Experience handling invoice exceptions and procurement issue resolution. Experience with PO execution, purchasing processes, and supplier interactions. Ability to review and manage contracts, contract redlines, negotiations, and Statements of Work (SOWs). Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Preferred / Valuable Background Exposure to strategic supply chain management. Experience developing or managing supplier performance metrics and KPIs. Background working in a high-volume procurement environment requiring prioritization of competing requests.
