People And Culture Manager

Luxury Hotel • Nashville, Tennessee • USD $70,000 - $75,000 per year

About The Role

We are searching for a People and Culture Manager for a busy, high-energy luxury hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, this is a hands-on generalist role supporting day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is warm, approachable, and deeply supportive - someone who makes every team member feel welcome when they walk through the HR door, not like they are interrupting. Forbes or luxury hotel experience is strongly preferred, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential. This role offers a genuine pathway to growth. A strong performer could develop into an Assistant Director of People and Culture over time.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a trusted, welcoming People and Culture resource for team members and leaders across all departments
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and workplace expectations
  • Conduct and document fair, thorough, and timely workplace investigations
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, screening, interview coordination, offers, and onboarding
  • Oversee the complete team member lifecycle from hiring through separation, processing all changes accurately and on time
  • Administer benefits enrollment, leaves of absence, and accommodation requests in partnership with the Director
  • Support payroll accuracy by reviewing timekeeping, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining HRIS and ADP records
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics using available systems and tools
  • Support team member engagement, recognition, and culture-building events and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
What You Bring
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a People and Culture or HR Manager within a luxury hospitality environment - strong Assistant Managers ready to step up will also be considered
  • Luxury hotel experience is required
  • Forbes Travel Guide property experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience at a fast-paced property is essential - this hotel is busy, and the role moves quickly
  • A calm, kind, and genuinely supportive demeanour - team members should feel welcomed, not hesitant, when approaching HR
  • Tech-savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, ADP, and reporting tools
  • Strong organizational skills with experience supporting team events, vendor coordination, and culture initiatives
  • Solid knowledge of employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and benefits administration
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
  • Must have valid US work authorization - visa sponsorship is not available
What's Offered
  • USD $70,000 - $75,000 per year
  • Competitive and comprehensive benefits package
