Current Job Openings Position: Marketing and Communications Coordinator Location: Liberty, MO Job Id: 499 # of Openings: 1 Position Title: Marketing and Communications Coordinator Department: Office of Marketing Reports To: Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment FLSA Status: Exempt Summary Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will develop, deploy and maintain digital and print communications targeting prospective undergraduate and graduate students, prospective student families and other influencer groups. The role requires both analytical and creative skills to execute a dynamic, comprehensive communication plan that support enrollment, enhance the student experience, and position the College as a community asset while ensuring alignment of institutional mission, values, branding and outcomes in all media initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities Write and execute communication campaigns intended to support inquiry acquisition and new student admission and enrollment goals as determined by the Vice President and the Director of Student Recruitment. This primarily includes developing and deploying email and text message communication plans through all stages of the admission cycle. Maintain content of the College website responding to program or departmental level requests for edits and develop web content or web pages that provide support to marketing and communication initiatives. Collaborate with a creative team to oversee and implement the design and photography for Admission broadcast email campaigns, print and digital publications, promotional materials and event-related marketing. Provide copy for these initiatives and any other marketing and recruitment materials. Project manage assigned deliverables to ensure the appropriate level of review and approvals, alignment to institutional mission, values, branding and outcomes. Ensure on-time delivery to intended audiences is successfully achieved for all media initiatives, communication workflows and communication or direct mail campaigns. Provide data insights to Marketing and Admission offices through regular reporting to validate strategy and individual messages, inform Admission contact strategy and inform market/lead prioritization. Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of available CRM technologies to expertly schedule, deploy and measure communication campaign and response. Maintain an accurate inventory and schedule of Marketing and Admission publications and renew/revise fulfillment. Assist with writing news releases, features, internal communications and other communication projects. Conduct research and seek approval for innovative and relevant communication initiatives. Select student workers and interns and manage their day-to-day assignments. Assist with development and execution of marketing campaigns for departments and programs. Assist with oversight of freelance vendors. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Training or experience in or aptitude for project management and/or creative ideation/deployment Strong analytic ability, creativity, and organizational skills Proficiency in or aptitude for Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Adobe Creative Suite Knowledge of open-source web platforms and Google Analytics a plus Aptitude for learning new technologies and/or experience working within a CRM environment Minimum Qualifications Bachelors’ degree in communication, marketing, journalism, digital media, business or related degree Two years of student or professional experience producing content for marketing or advertising communications Working Conditions This is an on-campus position. Normal working/office hours required with occasional evening and weekend work required.
