And then we'll upgrade it all again.Lumafield is headquartered in Cambridge, MA, and has an office in San Francisco, CA.About The RoleAs a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you'll play a key role in assembling and testing our CT scanning systems. You'll work hands-on with complex electromechanical assemblies, ensuring they meet factory specifications and quality standards. You'll collaborate closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to refine processes, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the evolution of our products. This position is based at our manufacturing facility in Everett, MA. Some occasional travel to our headquarters in Cambridge is necessary.What You'll Do:Assemble complex electro-mechanical assemblies from detailed work instructions and also from CAD drawingsPerform QC checks on assemblies using factory checklists to validate build qualityTest and troubleshoot our state of the art CT scanning equipment to ensure factory specifications are met.Track work performed using company software toolsDocument part and assembly issues, required reworks, and machine configurations for performance traceabilityProvide feedback for improved work instructions and problems found in the manufacturing processTest X-ray sources in a Manufacturing Test Bed according to work instructionsExperience with Hipot and ground continuity testingPerform overhead lifting operations using vacuum lifters and gantry cranes, fork lift with provided trainingCrate large scale capital equipment according to work instructionsAbout You:Flexible, hands-on worker with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environmentProficient with hand and power tools including vernier calipers and torque wrenchesComfortable using digital tools and organizational softwareProficient with a digital volt meterExperience with Hipot and ground continuity testingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMaintain workspace conditions to facilitate cleanliness and productivity for other workspace usersCan read and interpret mechanical part and assembly drawings and instructionsCan lift up to 60 lbsFollows all safety protocol at the factory$25 - $30 a yearLumafield offers both competitive cash and equity compensation, as well as a health & wellness stipend, 401k, parental leave, flexible PTO, commuter benefits, company wide events and more!Lumafield is committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, because the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
