Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care (Med/Surg Required | Acute Care Specialist)

Location: New York, NY
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Schedule: 4 Shifts/Week | 38 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend
Pay Rate: $80 – $101/hour

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity hospital setting. The RN will specialize in wound, ostomy, and continence care, focusing on complex skin integrity management, pressure injury prevention, and wound healing optimization.

This role requires strong Med/Surg experience along with advanced wound care certification and acute care expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Perform wound, ostomy, and continence assessments
Develop and implement individualized wound care plans
Monitor healing progress and treatment effectiveness
Conduct skin assessments and pressure injury prevention strategies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Provide education to patients and staff on wound management
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
Manage wound care equipment (NPWT, specialty beds, etc.)

Required Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN)
Active New York State RN License (NYSED verified)
Current AHA BLS Certification
Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience (required)
Wound & ostomy care experience required
Wound certification required (CWOCN / CWCN / CWS / WCC or equivalent)
