Executive of Behavioral Health- Relocation Assistance Available! 

\n

Horizon Health is seeking an Executive Director of Behavioral Health to oversee the Behavioral Health Program Health Source in Saginaw, MI. The unit has a total of 116 beds- 33 bed child/ adolescent unit, 60 bed adult unit, 16 bed geriatric unit, and 7 bed chemical dependency unit. Included in these responsibilities are: 1) the development and maintenance of a high-quality treatment program; 2) the development and implementation of a comprehensive community relations program; and 3) strategic planning, program administration, and development. The Program Director will provide supervision to Program Horizon employed clinical and administrative staff.

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Performs as liaison between Program, Hospital and Horizon; communicating information and needs appropriately
\n
• Supports Hospital and Horizon missions, goals and objectives
\n
• Provides leadership and direction in accordance with Hospital guidelines
\n
• Provides clinical supervision for Program nursing, counseling, patient support and administrative staff
\n
• Develops, in coordination with assigned VP, Clinical Practice, implements and updates all policies and procedures for the Program
\n
• In coordination with the Hospital, ensures the Program meets and maintains all federal, state, local and accrediting bodies regulations and standards
\n
• Participates in assessing and reassessing the program needs of the patient
\n
• Supervises all patient care and sets guidelines for accurately reporting and recording of patient symptoms, reactions, and progress
\n
• Develops processes to audit and coordinate ongoing education to ensure all staff are trained on proper documentation of all aspects of the patients care
\n
• Recruits, interviews, and selects qualified staff for the Program.
\n
• Provides for professional growth and development of staff through identification of needs, development of individual training plans and participation in training programs 
\n
• Defines goals and objectives of the treatment program under the direction of hospital administration and Horizon leaders
\n
• Collaborates with medical and clinical staff in coordinating and managing the medical and psychosocial treatment plans
\n
• Participates in assessing and reassessing the program needs of the patient
\n
• Supervises patient care and set guidelines for accurately reporting and recording
\n
• Maintain patient privacy

Qualifications \n

• Post Graduate Degree preferred
\n
• CPR, BLS, ACLS
\n
• 3-5 years of inpatient, acute care psych experience.
