Key Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
• Current certification or registry with ARDMS or eligible to obtain
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in general ultrasound
• Strong knowledge of sonographic protocols, anatomy, and safety procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail and patient-centered communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all patient interactions

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of diagnostic general ultrasound examinations following physician orders
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to established safety standards
• Acquire high-quality sonographic images, ensuring proper labeling and documentation
• Work cooperatively with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure seamless workflow
• Educate patients and their families about procedures while ensuring comfort and addressing concerns
• Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Support efficient scheduling and timely reporting of exam results
