Medical Assistant - WEEKLY PAY 24

Clinical Duties

• Patient Intake: Interview patients, document medical histories, and verify the purpose of the visit.

• Vitals & Triage: Measure and record vital signs like blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and weight.

• Examinations: Prepare examination rooms and assist physicians during patient exams and minor procedures.

• Lab Work: Collect and prepare blood, urine, and other specimens for laboratory testing, or draw blood (phlebotomy).

• Treatments: Administer medications or injections and change wound dressings as directed by a licensed physician and allowed by state law.

Sanitization: Sterilize medical instruments, dispose of contaminated supplies, and maintain strict sanitation standards.

Administrative Duties

• Patient Scheduling: Book appointments, manage the physician’s calendar, and handle hospital or surgery center bookings.

• Medical Records: Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR), ensuring diagnostic and procedural coding is accurate and confidential.

• Patient Communication: Greet patients, answer phone calls, triage messages, and follow up with patients regarding care instructions or test results.

• Billing & Insurance: Assist with insurance claim processing, verify patient eligibility, and process prescription refills.

• Inventory Management: Monitor medical and office supply levels, place orders, and maintain equipment

Must have a CCMA or RMA

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
