Shipping Clerk / Forklift OperatorJoin a fast-paced shipping and logistics team responsible for ensuring products are accurately staged, loaded, and shipped to customers on time. This role combines forklift operation, inventory management, and shipping duties in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate enjoys staying active, operating equipment, and playing a critical role in keeping production and customer deliveries running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to move materials, finished products, and inventory throughout the facility.Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks safely and efficiently.Pick, stage, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment.Verify shipping paperwork, packing slips, and product quantities to ensure order accuracy.Receive incoming materials and assist with inventory organization and storage.Perform routine inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment.Accurately enter shipping and inventory information into company systems.Work closely with production and warehouse teams to meet shipping schedules and customer deadlines.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.Follow all company safety procedures and material handling protocols.Skills & Qualifications:Previous forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus.Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments preferred.Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory records.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping transactions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.Why Employees Enjoy This Role:Stable, full-time position with opportunities for overtime.Variety of responsibilities that keep the workday engaging.Opportunity to develop warehouse, logistics, and forklift skills.Team-oriented environment with strong safety standards.Clear opportunities for growth into lead, inventory, or logistics roles.Clean and organized facility with modern equipment.Work Environment:This position is based in a warehouse and manufacturing environment where employees regularly operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. The environment is fast-paced, safety-focused, and ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and staying active throughout their shift.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manitowoc, WI.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $26.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
