Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Job Description

We are urgently seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in the Emergency Department. This position offers the opportunity to work night shifts and requires flexibility to float between different areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a general Emergency Department setting with combined adult and pediatric patients.
• Administer blood products and manage central line care.
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs as required.
• Conduct continuous IV sedation and manage IV vasopressors.
• Administer procedural sedation and interpret ABGs.
• Provide care for ventilated patients.
• Experience in triage is essential.

Shifts

• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Must be available for at least 8 weekend shifts per contract and holidays as necessary.
• Rotating shifts of 36 or 48 hours per week may be considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS are mandatory.
• Proficiency in EPIC is required.

Patient Ratios

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio in the Emergency Department is 1:5.
