Job Summary: An electrician performs all types of electrical jobs throughout assigned locations or region. Electrical jobs include maintenance and installation of equipment and machinery used in production and manufacturing. Job Responsibilities Perform electrical work and repairs on industrial/mining equipment Install, adjust and maintain all electrical equipment, gauges and instruments Troubleshoot, evaluate and coordinate electrical needs, repairs and modifications Ensure that manufacturers standards of repair and maintenance are performed on all equipment Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned Maintain good housekeeping Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds Meet or exceed company safety standards Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications 5 years electrical maintenance experience 3 years experience in aggregate, cement or heavy industrial operations (preferred) Power distribution experience or understanding up to 4,160 volts Programmable logic control and digital drive experience High school graduate; associate degree or equivalent in electrical maintenance (preferred) Able to read, write, and speak English; bilingual a plus Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Computer literate with ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP experience is a plus Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Strong analytical/problem-solving skills Ability to read and understand English in technical manuals, reports, and related instructions Ability to read and use mechanical, electrical, and structural sketches, blueprints and drawings Good mathematical/mechanical aptitude Working Conditions Exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise; outdoor work Must wear protective equipment on site Electrical troubleshooting skills and experience with motor control circuits and relay logic Ability to prioritize tasks and work as a team member or individually Physical Requirements Must be able to perform all job functions which include walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing, and operating controls Heavy Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force constantly Frequently communicates verbally; safety around heavy equipment Must be able to perform all job functions including pushing, turning, and pulling of controls Legal Notices CEMEX is an EEO/AA institution and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
