Azure Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities AWS Infrastructure & Platform Engineering:

Design, provision, and maintain AWS environments for application and database workloads. Build and configure AWS EC2, VPC, Security Groups, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling Groups and related services. Deploy and manage Amazon RDS for SQL Server. Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation. Establish high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and monitoring strategies.





Azure Data Factory to AWS Glue Migration:

Assess existing Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, data flows, triggers, integration runtimes, and dependencies. Configure AWS Glue Jobs, Glue Workflows, Crawlers, Data Catalog, and Triggers. Implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines using PySpark.





Migration Support:

Support migration of .NET applications from Azure to AWS. Assist in database migration from Azure SQL/SQL Server environments to AWS RDS SQL Server. Perform environment readiness assessments and migration planning. Troubleshoot migration-related issues and optimize cloud workloads.





CI/CD & DevOps:

Design and implement Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications. Automate build, test, deployment, and rollback processes. Integrate Jenkins with GitHub, SonarQube, Artifactory, and deployment tools. Implement blue-green and rolling deployment strategies.





Site Reliability Engineering:

Implement observability using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar tools. Improve platform resiliency, scalability, and performance. Automate operational runbooks and repetitive support activities.
