Job Summary:
The OS Operating Room registered nurse position is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a busy surgery center that handles a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic procedures such as knee and hip arthroplasties, shoulder and knee arthroscopies, as well as general, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, and plastic surgeries. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with call responsibilities once a week and every 5-6 weekends.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 2 years of orthopedic and surgical nursing experience; experience with computerized charting (EPIC).
• Equipment utilized in the unit/departments: Electronic charting system (EPIC), orthopedic equipment from Zimmer/Biomet, Synthes, and Arthrex.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other units/departments.
• Additional Information: The unit consists of 12 operating rooms at the main hospital surgery center and 6 operating rooms at the outpatient surgery center. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1. Orientation lasts one week with a preceptor. The unit handles approximately 40 to 60 procedures daily and works closely with vendors for orthopedic procedures. Cancellation policy allows the client to cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
