Production Systems Manager

Position Title: Production Systems Manager Reports to: Product Manager Based in : Houston Putting Good Housing within reach is the mission of Onsite ICF - creating a step change from the status quo in the global housing space. Our key technology is an innovative wall system based on the onsite fabrication and assembly of polyurethane foam construction blocks. The blocks construct the walls and provide forms for the structural elements of concrete and steel. Our website: showcases the system, the process and the finished product. Onsite ICF deploys its ‘RIM’ mold Systems to other businesses and supplies polyurethane chemicals to these licensed dealers. Onsite ICF also provides turnkey construction services. Position Summary The Production Systems Manager will provide leadership for the molding systems deployment and support. This position will be the technical expert on the RIM systems, will lead technicians and Dealers that operate the machines, manage the supply chain, manage and support all systems in operation. This position will perform technical administrative tasks in support of the business as well as support of the sales team and sales network as required. Essential Functions RIM system Operations: Provide primary expertise in operation and maintenance of Onsite RIM Systems. Provide technical support, oversight of machine maintenance, accessories and spare parts to support all operating RIM Systems. This person will be responsible to ensure efficient operations and meet production targets. Coordinate Onsite ICF block fabrication projects both in our workshop and onsite. Lead and manage our technicians who operate the systems. Technical Operations: Coordinate supply chain, logistics and customs. Manage and control all inventory. Issue purchase orders as required. Conduct training, offer and coordinate technical support and create training materials and programming. Ensure safety in the operation and handling of the Onsite ICF system and chemicals. Work with suppliers to ensure Onsite ICF has the equipment and raw materials required to ensure smooth operations. Develop and sustain a quality management protocol. Dealer Network Support: Licensed Dealers will operate mobile RIM system(s). This position will perform and manage maintenance services, mold changeouts, PU chemical supply. Facilities and Equipment: This position is responsible for operation and maintenance of our facilities and major equipment (truck, trailers, generators, etc.) Project Support: Provide support to the Construction Superintendent for deploying Onsite ICF systems and blocks to jobsites as required. International Operations Participation: Onsite ICF currently operates in East Africa and Colombia. This position will be expected to work with our global team and cultivate best practices for production. This may involve arranging shipments to global locations of spare parts, consumables or new equipment that is best sourced in the US. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Technical aptitude sufficient to become expert in Onsite ICF technology and applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Engineering skill. Basic understanding of engineering concepts in construction and mechanical devices. Ability to apply these to real problems and projects, and courage to be immersed in details and finding creative solutions. Entrepreneurial mindset. Comfortable working in a start-up environment that requires some degree of self-initiative and direction. Construction and Affordable Housing. Understanding of the affordable housing sector, both rural and urban, in East Texas. Solid communication skills. Proficient English, computer skills, ability to write and to create documents. Ability to communicate effective at all levels and audiences. Qualifications and Requirements At least 7 years of experience in the manufacturing or construction industry in hands-on role. Experience in the affordable housing sector and social enterprise is a plus. Valid Drivers License. US Citizenship or valid work permit. Ability to travel. The Position is located within Houston so regional travel is required.
