Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling

Job Description Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the F-35 Program. This role is responsible for tooling and factory transition execution for the F-35 FACO, Fabrication, and Finishes (CFF/LFF) build areas. This role may support both domestic and international tooling projects. Responsibilities Ensure tools and equipment are identified, scoped and built to meet engineering specifications and manufacturing requirements. Develop robust Statements of Work (SOWs) when contracting suppliers to execute work supporting our programs. Work with Procurement and tooling suppliers to have the tools & equipment delivered in time to support contract milestones. Work with Build Team Mfg Engs and production personnel to ensure requirements understood and resolution fully meets program needs. Engage with Tool Design, Planning, Procurement, Facilities, ESH, and Tooling/Fabrication suppliers to successfully manage the F-35 tooling & equipment portfolio. Support special projects for unique requests including rate transition, tooling stand‑up efforts, continuous improvement, and new initiatives. Qualifications Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) practices and principles. Demonstrated instances of working in multi-functional teams. Strong project management skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project. Experience with Catia V5. Desired Skills Experience with the F-35 production environment. Experience with LM tooling processes, procedures and Catia V5. Experience developing supplier Statements of Work. Persuasive presentation skills. Knowledge of aerospace component fabrication & assembly. Effective written and verbal skills.
