CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline overlooking Corpus Christi Bay is the largest and foremost acute care medical facility in the region, with a full range of diagnostic and surgical specialty services in cardiac, cancer, and stroke care. It is the leading emergency facility in the area with a Level II Trauma Center in the Coastal Bend, staffed with physicians and nurses specially trained in emergency services.

- The Pavilionand North Tower house a state-of-the-art emergency department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and surgical suites \ N
- A teaching facility in affiliation with the Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine \ N

Summary:
\ N Manages the nursing services and staff for a department;
ensures quality and full compliance with relevant policies and standards.
Responsibilities:

- Implementing and monitoring programs and practices for the delivery of safe and efficient quality nursing care for patients and their families \ N
- Ensuring consistent application of nursing services policies and standards throughout the organization \ N
- Monitoring patient outcomes and quality and effectiveness of nursing care \ N
- Overseeing performance of teams;
identifying and addressing staff training and development needs \ N - Apprising medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service and strategies \ N
