OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY (OB/GYN) PHYSICIANThe OBGYN Physician will provide comprehensive primary and urgent care to an ethnically and socially diverse, female patient population in accordance with the values, beliefs and policies of Clinica Romero. The successful candidate will also perform routine obstetric and gynecological office procedures and follow up all abnormal pap smears.Responsibilities:Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.Conducting physical examinationOrder and interpret the results of laboratory, x-ray and other testPerform routine office based obstetric and gynecological procedures including colposcopy and endometrial biopsies, etc.Determine and implement appropriate courses of treatment.Provide treatment plans and prescribe medications for issues/diseases of the female organs.Provide care and treatment during prenatal and postnatal periods.Monitor results of treatment; changing as necessaryMaintain accurate, complete records that comply with contracts and/or Clinica Romero policiesAdvise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.Confer with student and resident physicians and other professional and support staff regarding care and treatment of patients and assists/mentors them in management of illness; serves as a resource to resolve patient/family concernsMonitor and ensures compliance with clinical evidence-based guidelines for adult and pediatric health careHaving the ability to develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationshipPerform related duties as requiredImmunize patients from communicable diseasesAdvise patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of diseaseRefer patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatmentQualifications/Requirements:Medical Degree or D.O. from an accredited schoolExperience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system; Site Specialist training preferredMinimum 2 years of experienceCompleted residency training in OB/GYN at an ACGME accredited school.BC/BE a plus.Selected applicants are subject to, and must pass, a full background check.Abilities and Skills:Excellent oral and written communication.Impeccable follow up skillsAbility to problem solve independentlyMust have calm temperament and capable of dealing with a wide range of patient typesAbility to collaborate and work with a teamExcellent organizational skillsAbility to maintain a professional demeanor at all timesAbility to learn new things quicklyDesire to learn and grown with Clinica and actively participate in all trainings
