Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the emergency department, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Utilize critical thinking skills and clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform advanced nursing procedures and interventions as required by patients' conditions.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and preventative health measures.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and communications.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before the start date.
• 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department.
• Previous HCA experience is preferred.
• Must possess a teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
