Registered Nurse - 5th Floor

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients on the 5th floor of a busy medical facility. The unit consists of 33 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1 during the day and 7:1 at night. Nurses will collaborate with a team that includes 3 techs per shift and unit secretaries available during the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments and medication administration.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment such as IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs.
• Document patient care using the Meditech documentation system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other appropriate areas as necessary based on unit needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license required.
• Certifications in relevant specialties are preferred.
