Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down Unit position requiring 2-3 years of ICU or step down experience, working night shifts on a 13-week contract in Ohio.

Details

• Step down unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Patient ratios are acuity-based, with typical assignments of 1:2 for critically ill patients and 1:3-4 for lower-acuity patients
• Rotating every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating required in rotation with staff and based on clinical experience
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2-3 years of ICU or step down nursing experience required
• Experience managing multiple patients simultaneously required
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• RTO requests must be approved prior to assignment start; no RTO preferred during the first two weeks
• Artificial nails, gel polish, and dip nails are not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 80 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; local candidates are accepted
