The facility is hiring experienced surgical professionals for multiple perioperative roles including:

• Operating Room RN
• CVOR RN
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• CVOR Surgical Tech
• Hybrid Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech
• Surgical Assistant (SA)

General requirements include:

• Experience: 2-3 years acute care OR experience required. Hybrid IR Tech requires 3+ years hybrid experience.
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Patient Ratio: 1:1

The surgical department handles high-acuity and trauma cases including:

• General OR
• Cardiovascular / Transplant
• Hybrid OR (CV/Vascular)
• Pediatric Cases

Certifications required include:

• OR RN / CVOR RN: BLS
• Certified Surgical Technologist: BLS, CST
• CVOR Tech: BLS, Professional certification required
• Hybrid IR Tech: BLS, ARRT, Siemens imaging equipment experience required
• Surgical Assistant: BLS, CSA preferred

Required skills include:

• OR RN: Scrub and circulate, Trauma experience (Level I or II preferred), EPIC experience required, Critical care background preferred
• CVOR RN: Scrub and circulate adult or pediatric open-heart cases, Critical care experience, Level I trauma experience, EPIC experience required
• CST / CVOR Tech: Scrubbing complex OR and cardiac cases
• Hybrid IR Tech: Experience with hybrid vascular procedures, Siemens imaging systems experience

The surgical department has strong clinical support including:

• Charge Nurse (no patient assignment during weekdays)
• Resource Nurse
• Anesthesiologists providing bedside monitoring
• Surgeons with detailed preference cards
• Assistant Nurse Managers (ANM)
• Clinical Educators
• Service line representatives
• EPIC super-users for technical support

Technology & equipment include:

• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
• Hybrid OR Equipment: Siemens imaging systems

Orientation typically includes:

• Day 1: Meet educators and Assistant Nurse Manager, Login setup, Online modules, EPIC training
• Days 2-3: Unit orientation and workflow training

Scheduling options include:

• Shift Options: 3 12-hour shifts, 2 12-hour + 2 8-hour shifts, 5 8-hour shifts
• Example shift times: 06:45 - 15:15, 14:45 - 19:15, 22:45 - 07:15
• Hybrid / IR Tech schedules: Monday - Thursday, 8-10 hour shifts
• OR Operating Hours: Monday-Friday: 07:30 - 23:00, After 23:00 ? skeleton crew for trauma/urgent cases
• Weekend OR Hours: 07:00 - 17:00, After 17:00 ? skeleton crew
• The OR operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
• Weekend Rotation: Every 4th weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
• On-Call Requirements: Depends on service line and shift, 30-minute response time, Sleep room available for on-call staff
• Schedule Release: 6-week schedule cycles, Shared 2-4 weeks in advance, No self-scheduling (assigned by rotation)
• Time Off: All RTO requests must be submitted via email to the manager.
• Holiday Coverage: Holiday shifts required
