Medical Assistant Summary PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the medical front desk office including: registration & maintenance of patient records, verify insurance, scheduling appointments and procedures, accounts receivable, maintaining appearance and order of the medical office. PRIMARY DUTIES Conduct day-to-day functions of medical front office Assists with insurance verification for medical services Conduct registration/confirmation of daily appointments Calculates sliding fee schedules for patients and provides detailed service plan estimates Manage provider scheduling templates Monitor the reception area for a neat, cleanly, professional appearance. Ensure efficient & effective daily scheduling SECONDARY DUTIES Assist with rooming patients for appointments: (obtain medical history, document vitals, initiate interpreter services) Administration of vaccines as privileged Process Medical Records Requests Family Health Care is an Equal Opportunity Organization. Experience QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience High school diploma 2 years professional office experience desired Medical Assistant Certificate (preferred) Experience verifying insurance eligibility and coordination of benefits with insurance carriers Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop positive rapport with patients, medical providers, other staff members and community Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and staff (Bilingual/Spanish speaking translation ability preferred) Salary/Benefits Experience-based Pay Monday-Friday Paid time off Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Retirement contribution #J-18808-Ljbffr
