Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Santa Fe, New Mexico
A Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical Floor provides routine and complex patient care while demonstrating awareness of relevant clinical factors in the assigned setting. The role applies the nursing processassessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluationand supports patients and families through increasingly complex physical and psychosocial needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days (7:00 AM7:00 PM), 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA) + current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or compact + Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
  • Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources
