Job Description
As a Secondary Spanish Teacher, you will primarily instruct high school students, fostering their language skills and cultural understanding through well-designed curriculum called Vista Higher Learning and engaging classroom activities. You will play a vital role in developing students' Spanish language proficiency and appreciation for Hispanic cultures while maintaining effective communication with parents and managing classroom dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons tailored to high school students
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Design and update curriculum to align with academic standards
- Promote cultural education related to Spanish-speaking communities
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Engage students through interactive language development activities
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level teaching experience
- Proficiency in Spanish language
- Skills in curriculum development
