Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a surgery center position requiring 2 years of experience and the ability to scrub a variety of cases.

Details

• Small community hospital surgery center with 4 ORs, with transfers to a larger medical center as needed
• Patient types include GYN, general, ENT, urology, ortho, podiatry, vascular, robotic (general & gyn), and ophthalmology
• Day shift schedule, 0645-1515, 40 hours per week
• On-call requirement once per week and every 4th weekend
• Weekend rotation includes on-call every 4th weekend
• Floats to two other facility sites on a weekly rotating schedule
• Uses EPIC, Pyxis, and Alaris pumps

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Ability to scrub a variety of surgical cases
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Candidate's middle name or initial needed for consideration
• Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN needed for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within one year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• 1 day of orientation provided
• Holiday coverage required for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• Time off requests cannot be approved during the assignment
• COVID vaccine required
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• No radius rules apply; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees of this health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
