PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB POSITION

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks to ensure the community and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required; trade or vocational training preferred.

• Experience in building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry preferred.

• Knowledge of safety procedures, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

  • Experience in Healthcare Maintenance required.

• Respond promptly to resident and staff maintenance requests.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Perform routine inspections and repairs of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

• Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled; maintain accurate records.

• Assist with painting, drywall, flooring, and minor renovation projects.

• Ensure grounds are safe, clean, and well-kept, including snow removal and landscaping.

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors under supervisor direction.

• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; request replenishment as needed.

• Assist with fire safety, emergency preparedness, and safety equipment checks.

SAFETY AND SANITATION

• Follow OSHA and facility safety policies; use appropriate PPE.

• Lockout/tagout equipment when performing repairs; ensure work areas are safe.

• Report hazards, incidents, or injuries immediately to supervisor.

• Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Lift/carry up to 75 lbs; bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed.

• Work indoors/outdoors in varying temperatures.

• Ability to respond to emergency calls after hours as needed.
