This position requires the ability to float to other units as needed. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Every other weekend is required, totaling six weekend shifts every six weeks. Candidates must provide two references from authority figures dated within the last year. Flu vaccine is required during the specified timeframe. COVID-19 vaccine is also required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted only. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services. The patient diagnoses will include cardiac, neuro, gastrointestinal, and respiratory conditions. Familiarity with various medical equipment such as Bipap, Cpap, and feeding tubes is necessary. Nurses will engage in critical procedures such as post-surgery recovery and cardiac intervention. Candidates must demonstrate strong management skills for various medical protocols.
