Electrical Engineering Intern - Flywheel Energy Storage Systems

Our company designs and manufactures flywheel energy storage systems, a technology that stores energy mechanically in a rotating mass and delivers fast, reliable power without the chemical degradation associated with batteries. Flywheel systems are used for applications such as grid stabilization, power quality improvement, and backup power for critical infrastructure. About the Role Flywheel energy storage combines power electronics, electric machines, control systems, structural dynamics, and power systems engineering. Our intern will gain early exposure to how these disciplines come together in a real‑world product—from concept and testing to documentation and customer support. This internship is designed for early‑career engineering students who are curious about power and energy systems and want to learn how engineering work is performed in an industrial environment. While some of the intern's time will be spent assisting engineers with technical tasks, a significant portion involves engineering‑adjacent administrative work, including organizing data, preparing documentation, and supporting project tracking using Microsoft Office tools. The goal is to help you understand how engineering teams operate day‑to‑day while building strong professional skills alongside technical fundamentals.
