Test Technician

A leading aerospace and industrial manufacturer is seeking a Test Technician for a 12-month contract at its Elma, NY facility. You will execute environmental and functional testing on precision components and assemblies, troubleshoot equipment issues, and document results to engineering specifications. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor test equipment for environmental and functional testing (temperature, vibration, altitude, and related profiles) Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with test equipment, machinery, and units under test Use hand tools and precision instruments to assemble, disassemble, and adjust test articles and fixtures Record test data accurately, identify anomalies, and report results to engineering Follow written test procedures, safety protocols, and quality documentation requirements Support engineering with setup changes, calibration checks, and equipment maintenance Requirements Hands-on experience troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment or machinery Experience with testing in a manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial setting Proficiency with hand tools and basic measurement/diagnostic instruments Ability to read and follow technical procedures, drawings, and specifications Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping Reliable on-site attendance in Elma, NY Preferred Environmental test experience (temperature, vibration, altitude, humidity) Aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing background Additional Requirements This role requires enrollment and participation in the company's FAA drug & alcohol program, including a full-panel drug screen upon hire and random drug testing throughout employment. This position requires access to US export-controlled information. Applicants must meet applicable eligibility requirements.
