About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ER Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:00); Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active New York Single State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - Must have skills in IV therapy, ventilator management, and emergency care Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Emergency Room. Candidates must have experience working in a fast-paced environment with a mix of adult and pediatric patients. Weekend shifts are required, as well as availability for every other holiday. Candidates must be able to work varied shifts, including days and nights. Charting experience in EPIC is essential for this role. Responsibilities include managing emergency cases ranging from trauma to cardiac issues. The nurse will participate in care coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Floating to other units may be required as per hospital needs. This role involves direct patient care, including monitoring, assessment, and intervention. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure.
