Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45-19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience - High-risk experience - Immediate newborn care Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, specifically in Labor and Delivery. High-risk experience is required, as well as the ability to provide immediate newborn care. The unit has 16 beds and a staff of 120, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. Common procedures include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, dilation and curettage, cerclage, and C-hysterectomy. Candidates should be outgoing, friendly, and adaptable to the fast-paced environment of Labor and Delivery. Equipment used includes Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring systems. Electronic Medical Records are handled via Cerner and Fetal ink. Weekend shifts may be required upon approval. This role does not involve on-call responsibilities.
