As a critical member of the special education team, you’ll implement individualized education programs to help each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service providers, foster a welcoming classroom atmosphere, and ensure students have the resources they need to succeed.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP development, goal setting, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Dedication to inclusive practices and differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction and modify curriculum for diverse learners in grades 6–8
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs in collaboration with families and school staff
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and necessary documentation
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development
• Create a positive classroom culture that reflects respect, support, and encouragement for all students
