Job Summary Palolo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center part of Palolo Chinese Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients' vital signs, and ensure a safe, clean environment for patients. Pay Range $21.00 - $25.00 per hour - based on experience and skillset Benefits We Offer Sign-on/Retention Bonus up to $5,000.00 based on eligibility Temporary Dormitory Housing Subsidy available Medical Insurance (drug and vision included) Nurse Aide Tuition Reimbursement up to $1,060.00 Prometric Exam Reimbursement up to $300.00 Free Dental Insurance for Employees Free On-Site and Street Parking Discounted Employee Meals: $3.50 per meal Shift Differential Pay for Evening and Overnight shifts CNA Trainer Differential Pay Opportunity to Earn Overtime Pay (extra $10.50 to $12.50 per hour) 401K – (4% matching contribution with 401k and Roth 401k options, up to $2,080.00 per year) 10 paid holidays per year, up to $2,080.00 per year) 10 days of paid vacation, >= 4 years:15 days, >= 7 years: 20 days, up to $2,080.00 for 1st year 10 days of paid sick leave, up to $2,080.00 per year Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Employer Employee Referral Bonus Program up to $3,000.00 Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - tax saving benefit for medical expenses and dependent care AFLAC Supplemental Insurance - tax saving benefit Qualifications Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Aide training program Current Hawaii certification as a Certified Nurse Aide Current CPR & First Aid certification 2 step TB clearance Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting, and Drug Screen Clearance Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding Take and record patients' vital signs Assist nurses with medical procedures as needed Ensure patients' rooms are clean and organized Follow established treatment plans to help patients reach their healthcare goals Provide emotional support and companionship to patients Document care provided and report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff Work Hours Day Shift 6:00am – 2:30pm; Evening Shift 2:00pm – 10:30pm; Overnight Shift 10:00pm – 6:30am. May be asked to work other than above shift as resident care and staff training requires.
