Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Description

Hire Up Staffing is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform procedures using analytical methodology in a clinical laboratory in the Houston area.


Pay: $32/hr.-$38/hr. (Based on experience.)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 630am-3pm

Position Key Accountabilities:

1. Performs routine laboratory tests in accordance with direction given.
2. Prepares specimens for analytical examination and quality tests.
3. Maintains Inventory
4. Operates and performs preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree OR completion of an accredited Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science program required.
2. Valid ASCP certification or comparable certifications.
3. Must have a minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.
4. Must have experience with one or more of the following instruments.
   1. Sysmex
   2. Hematology Roche
   3. Chemistry DXI
   4. Chemistry Stago
   5. Coagulation Iris
   6. Urinalysis ABL
   7. Blood gases
