EEO Compliance Investigator

For more than 100 years, Texas Tech has been a premier destination for those seeking a world-class education and a unique, personalized experience as a member of the Red Raider family.Major/Essential FunctionsConduct intake interviews to gather initial information from individuals with complaints and to determine the appropriate level of intervention/response and applicable TTU System regulations and operating policies and procedures.Conduct comprehensive independent and unbiased investigations of discrimination and harassment complaints, including Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX complaints involving employees, by interviewing parties and witnesses, collecting the relevant facts, and evaluating evidence and credibility related to the reported incident.Prepare accurate and thorough investigation reports that include written analysis of the information and data collected with attention to detail in determining findings from complaint investigation in accordance with university policies and procedures and applicable federal and state laws. Maintain accurate and complete records of investigation process.Draft documents, letters, and memos, research issues, and prepare supporting documentation for investigations.Collaborate with offices across campuses to coordinate compliance efforts and responses to workplace issues related to equal opportunity and non-discrimination.Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with co-workers and constituents and maintain confidentiality regarding all communications.Ability to learn, understand, and apply the office's specific compliance areas such as Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX. Remain knowledgeable of current federal and state laws and regulations and compliance trends in higher education.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience.
