Senior Product Manager - Compute

The ideal candidate is a curious, analytical problem solver who can investigate ambiguous questions, connect disparate data points, build well-supported points of view, and communicate what the findings mean for OCI. You will partner closely the strategic intelligence lead and cross-functional stakeholders to develop forecasting models, decision frameworks, executive narratives, and other intelligence deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic intelligence initiatives to identify market shifts, competitive moves, emerging threats, and growth opportunities for OCI.
• Analyze the AI and cloud infrastructure landscape, including customer demand, cloud service provider investments, GPU/ASIC adoption, semiconductor supply, capacity, pricing, and technology trends.
• Conduct competitive analysis across hyperscalers, AI infrastructure providers, semiconductor companies, and emerging technology players to understand their strategies, investments, product roadmaps, and sources of competitive advantage.
• Develop well-supported points of view on market and competitive dynamics; translate complex signals into clear insights and recommendations.
• Build and maintain forecasting models and analytical frameworks to assess market growth, supply-and-demand dynamics, capacity requirements, and business outcomes.
• Identify market whitespace, customer needs, competitive gaps, and emerging opportunities that can inform OCI's product portfolio and growth strategy.
• Create executive-ready briefing, dashboards, and decision frameworks that explain what is happening, why it matters, where consensus may be wrong, and what potential action OCI can take.
• Partner with product leaders and strategic intelligence lead to frame strategic questions, assess opportunities, and support product strategy and investment decisions.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams to validate insights and translate intelligence into business action.

Qualifications

• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to develop independent point of view rather than simply summarize existing research.

• 6+ years of experience in engineering, product management, competitive intelligence, market analysis, investment research, consulting, capacity planning, or related analytical role within cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure, datacenters, or semiconductors.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, economics, finance, statistic, mathematics, or a related field.

• Ability to develop a strong, evidence-based understanding of markets, customers, competitors, and technology trends, and to translate that understanding into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Strong technical knowledge of compute infrastructure or demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex technical products and markets.

• Ability to synthesize structured and unstructured information into clear, evidence-based conclusions.

• Experience conducting market and competitive research, developing forecasts or business cases, testing hypotheses, and working with incomplete or ambiguous data.

• Ability to translate market and competitive insights into practical recommendations for product, go-to-market, and investment decisions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear executive-facing presentations and narratives.

• Collaborative working style and ability to partner effectively with Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, AI systems, datacenters, CPUs, GPU/accelerators, semiconductors, datacenter, or networking.

• Prior engineering, systems architecture, or technical product management experience.

• Experience in competitive intelligence, market research, investment research, corporate strategy, or strategic analysis.

• Experience building market models, capacity forecasts, pricing analysis, or financial projections.

• MBA or relevant advanced technical degree.

–Evaluates business value, feasibility, and internal and/or external user needs of products/features.

Product Analysis – Solution Identification:
–Identifies customers' unmet or unknown needs, market opportunities for products, and/or regulatory requirements.
–Develops problem statements for products with moderate complexity and forms hypotheses for new products.
–Takes independent ownership of the solutioning process by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify solutions.
–Evaluates and validates different solutions to make informed decisions on enhancing existing products/features or introducing new products/features.
–Creates and maintains required solution artifacts (e.g., regulatory requirements, functional and non-functional requirements).
Product Ownership – Product Development and Road mapping:
–Manages the product lifecycle from planning to release.
–Owns the roadmap for multiple small-scope products/features, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
–Develops feature requirements, resources, and best practices for internal stakeholders.
–Collaborates with stakeholders to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
–Tracks and analyzes existing metrics (e.g., Service Requests, bugs raised, customer feedback, customer volumes) to generate insights on product optimization.
–Writes user stories and acceptance criteria to maintain high product quality.
–Determines the features or experiences to prioritize in the roadmap, aligning them with success criteria and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Product Ownership – Product Leadership and Influence:
–Acts as an innovation leader for a small-scope product/feature, providing recommendations for overall strategy and direction of products.
–Participates in the development of products to optimize the customer experience and align with business goals.
–Collaborates with team to drive new feature development using agile and continuous-delivery methodology.
Alignment and Collaboration:
–Collaborates with cross-functional partners, ensuring alignment across teams within the organization.
–Identifies pushback from stakeholders and uses data to address it.
–Works with senior team members to identify potential solutions tied to OKRs and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
–Partners with others in driving business impact across organizations, and tracking success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., OKRs, KPIs) for multiple small-scope products/features.
–Contributes to defining parameters for user testing and provides input on product iterations based on test results.
Customer-Centricity:
–Takes an active role in advocating for the customer throughout the product lifecycle, beginning to anticipate customer needs.
–Engages with customers to gather feedback and understand their experiences with Oracle's products and services.
–Collaborates with customers to understand how to align Oracle product capabilities with customers' specific business goals.
–Captures customer requirements to define new product capabilities and develop feature designs.
–Engages directly with product consumers during implementations to ensure the product meets their needs.
–Coordinates with senior team members to review and prioritize customer issues to ensure satisfaction and quality, escalating the chain as required.
Product Release – Go-to-Market:
–Collaborates with senior team members to develop release overview, field presentations, and demos for the field team.
–Contributes to recruiting and supporting early adopters to validate product solutions.
–Supports the development of user documentation by drafting components of the document.
–Tracks product metrics about adoption, identifying trends and patterns in user behavior.
–Contributes to presenting product demonstrations to internal and/or external customers, partners, industry analysts, and field.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $72,800 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
