Phlebotomist Floater

Phlebotomy PositionPay Range: $17.55hr - $22.55hrRequirement/Must Have:High school diploma or equivalent.Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.Keyboard and data entry experience.Ohio Credentials Licenses Required.Additional Testing: QuantiFERON and proof of Hep B shot.Responsibilities:Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.Provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles.Ensure daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, or In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.Direct daily activity in various environments including doctor’s offices, patient service centers, house call environments, or long term care facilities.Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees and provide effective onboarding services to new clients.Serve as a point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.Work with customers who have high complexity or volume practices requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills.Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.Collaborate with multiple functions such as Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, and Logistics.Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills to solve problems and collaborate with stakeholders.Skills:Phlebotomy.Pediatric Collections.Geriatric Collections.Capillary Collections.Data Entry.Customer Service.Mentoring.Onboarding.
