TRAFFIC TEAM LEAD - ORLANDO
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the leader of the Orlando Traffic Design Team
- Serve as lead technical engineer and/or engineer of record for traffic projects
- Direct and assist traffic analyses using current best practices with a focus on Vision Zero principles and the Safe System approach
- Direct and assist the production of signing and pavement marking and signal plans in accordance with FDOT standards
- Conduct field reviews
- Perform quality control reviews
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with clients and colleagues
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Support marketing pursuits and business development efforts
- Assist with recruiting efforts for the Orlando office and ELEMENT Traffic Team
- Engage the Orlando Traffic Design Team to support retention and employee satisfaction
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Florida
- At least 5 years of post-registration experience
- Traffic studies experience
- Traffic design experience
- Familiarity with the current FDOT Manuals and traffic guidelines
- Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of MicroStation and/or ORD
- Interest in mentoring junior staff
- Commitment to safety
- Local agency experience is a plus
