Shipping Manager Assistant

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Manager Assistant to support daily shipping and logistics operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, preparing shipping documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring orders are packaged and delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and process outbound shipments and verify orders for accuracy.
Coordinate pickups with freight carriers, including LTL, FTL, parcel, and international shipments.
Generate shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, and commercial invoices.
Track shipments and communicate delivery updates to internal teams.
Maintain organized shipping and staging areas while supporting inventory counts.
Enter shipment data into ERP/WMS systems and maintain shipping records.
Assist with RMAs, freight claims, and shipping compliance.
Support warehouse, receiving, and production teams as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Experience with shipping documentation and freight carriers.
Basic computer skills; ERP/WMS experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment.
Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
