Our client is seeking a skilled Design Engineer II in Columbus, OH to bring cutting-edge mechanical designs to life. In this role, you will collaborate closely with model coordinators, estimators, and field teams to develop practical, cost-effective MEP systems for complex facilities. You will also leverage advanced virtual construction tools to deliver high-performing HVAC and plumbing solutions.

responsibilities:

• Perform complex engineering calculations, including heating/cooling loads, friction loss, and equipment sizing.

• Prepare preliminary redline design layouts and documentation to support estimating efforts.

• Ensure strict adherence to applicable building codes, standards, and field criteria.

• Provide technical direction and guidance to junior engineering staff across project phases.

• Conduct job site visits to examine field conditions and support design execution.

qualifications:

• Experience level: Experienced
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Education: Bachelors (required)

skills:
