PCA Job Description – Herndon, VA A Personal Care Aide (PCA) position is available in Herndon, Virginia , providing hands‑on support to an adult client who requires assistance with daily living tasks. This role is ideal for caregivers who are dependable, compassionate, and experienced with personal care.

• Location: Herndon, VA

• Role: Personal Care Aide (PCA)

• Setting: Client’s private home

• Client Needs: Assistance with all ADLs and IADLs

• Environment: Supportive household; client lives with family

????️‍???? Client Care Needs

• ADL Support — bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility, transfers

• IADL Support — meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, errands

• Safety Monitoring — fall prevention, cueing, standby assistance

• Companionship — conversation, emotional support, engagement in daily routines

???? Schedule

• Days: Monday through Sunday

• Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Total Weekly Hours: 56 hours

• Schedule Flexibility may be required for occasional changes

???? Job Responsibilities

• Provide personal care in a respectful, dignified manner

• Assist with mobility including transfers and ambulation

• Prepare meals following dietary needs

• Maintain a clean environment to ensure safety

• Document daily care per agency requirements

• Communicate changes in client condition to supervisors

✔️ Qualifications

• Active PCA/HHA/CNA certification
  
  
• CPR/First Aid preferred

• TB test or chest X‑ray within 12 months

• Background check clearance
  
  
• Reliable transportation to and from the client’s home
