About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Stepdown or ICU License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Stepdown Intermediate Care setting. The shift is three 12-hour days from 07:00 to 19:30. There are no call requirements associated with this position. Every other weekend and every other holiday are required. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Stepdown or ICU department. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Charting experience with Cerner is required. The unit accommodates a range of patient diagnoses including pneumonia, sepsis, CHF, post-surgical cases, and strokes. Interdisciplinary support is available from various healthcare professionals. Candidates must be willing to float to similar units as needed. Strong communication and professional conduct are essential for this role. All candidates will need to complete specific training modules prior to starting.
